An opportunity has arisen for a Planner. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a basic change management system for engineering and construction. The position will be based in Liberia.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, performs complex project controls activities and assists in the preparation of project controls requirements for a project or assignment.
  • Prepares the work breakdown and project coding structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract.
  • Accumulates and compiles accurate cost management data to prepare the project budget and update the progress of the project.
  • Develops cost control / scheduling procedures, execution plan, and business plan for a project.
  • Participates in weekly project cost reviews / schedule meetings.
  • Develops and maintains management, project and control level schedules.
  • Identifies trends and deviations and recommends corrective courses of action.
  • Maintains the established project cost / schedule program and prepares schedule / cost status reports.

Provides meaningful, accurate historical data.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mining, project management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in planning within the mining or heavy industrial sector, with a strong focus on engineering and construction projects.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in mining operations.
