Job Summary

A vacancy exists for a Pharmacy Courier based at Life The Glynnwood Hospital, reporting to Tau Motatinyane, Inventory Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning and coordination of stock for all the wards in the hospital.

Position Details

Function Pharmacy Facility Life The Glynnwood – Position: Pharmacy Courier / Porter.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and record all prescription cards, credits, and requisitions from the wards.
  • Record and deliver ethical and surgical stock to wards safely, securely, and timeously.
  • Receive and check stock against invoices, including unpacking stock.
  • Assist with lifting and picking up stock/boxes for distribution to wards/theatres.
  • Check expiry dates of all stock items systematically and perform stock rotation.
  • Maintain the pharmacy – cleanliness and neatness.
  • Involve with stock take and cycle counts.
  • Reconcile proof of delivery with internal ward orders.
  • Reconcile orders against invoices.
  • Perform general administrative functions as requested.
Requirements
  • Matric.
  • Available for weekend and public holiday duties on a rotational basis.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office).
  • Relevant work experience in hospital pharmacy is essential.
