Job Purpose

To promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and medical facilities within the assigned territory, achieving sales targets while building and maintaining strong, ethical relationships with clients in line with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Target Achievement
    • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
    • Identify new business opportunities and convert them into sales.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and specialists.
    • Conduct regular follow-up visits to existing clients to ensure satisfaction and continued business.
  • Product Promotion & Training
    • Present and detail product features, benefits, and clinical data to healthcare professionals.
    • Organise and facilitate product training sessions for clients where required.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting
    • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and industry developments, providing feedback to management.
    • Maintain accurate records of calls, meetings, and territory activity in CRM systems.
  • Compliance & Ethical Standards
    • Adhere to the Medicines and Related Substances Act, company policies, and ethical sales practices.
    • Ensure all promotional activities comply with industry and company guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Education:
    • Matric (Grade 12) essential.
    • Diploma or degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or healthcare sales.
    • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
