Job summary

A dynamic technology firm in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced HR Officer to manage HR processes in a high-growth environment. The role requires at least 2-4 years of HR experience, strong knowledge of SA Labour Law, and proficiency in MS Office. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and ensuring compliance with business practices. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to support employees effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an HR Officer or HR Generalist.
  • Experience in a fast-paced organisation, ideally a start-up.
  • In-depth knowledge of SA Labour Law, including LRA, BCEA, EE Act, and POPIA.
  • Ability to analyse workplace issues objectively.
  • Proven proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all HR processes from recruitment to offboarding.
  • Coordinate performance management lifecycle.
  • Serve as first point of contact for HR queries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Assist in managing disciplinary and grievance processes.
