Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Finance.
  • Preparation of month end and year end journals.
  • Check Trial balance / General ledger.
  • Preparation of monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Control Accounts Payable function.
  • Check monthly cashbook.
  • Oversee the credit control function.
  • Completion of monthly VAT.
  • Regular internal audits.
  • Conduct audits of Stock-takes.
  • Maintain fixed asset register.
  • Financial reports.
  • Annual budgets.
  • Annual external audit.

Grade 12

BComm degree, majoring in Financial Accounting minimum, a prerequisite.

  • Completed Articles.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting department
  • 2 years’ in a management position
  • Knowledge of the bus passenger industry
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GRAP, IFRS, Accounting and Auditing principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Human Resources, and Industrial Relations practices and procedures / related legislation

Duties;

  • Supervision of Finance
  • Preparation of month end and year end journals.
  • Check Trial balance / General ledger
  • Preparation of monthly General Ledger reconciliations
  • Control Accounts Payable function (Capturing invoices, preparing reconciliations and payments).
  • Check monthly cashbook.
  • Oversee the credit control function
  • Completion of monthly VAT
  • Regular internal audits
  • Conduct audits of Stock-takes.
