The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven Partnerships Manager to lead our strategic collaborations and business development efforts across South Africa, with potential expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about relationship-building, strategic growth, and creating partnerships that amplify SupportRoom's mission of redefining workplace wellbeing.

You'll be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing partnerships with enterprise clients, resellers, HR and wellness organizations, and ecosystem partners to accelerate SupportRoom's growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances

Identify, evaluate, and onboard key strategic partners across South Africa, including HR consultancies, corporate wellness providers, enterprise organizations, and government-linked initiatives.

Develop joint go-to-market plans, partnership roadmaps, and co-marketing initiatives to expand brand presence and drive business outcomes.

Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring long-term mutual value and strategic alignment.

Business Development & Market Expansion

Drive market expansion through partnership-driven opportunities and business development initiatives.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design and execute localized partnership campaigns tailored to the South African market.

Represent SupportRoom at key industry events, conferences, and networking forums across the region.

Partner Enablement & Relationship Management

Manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure alignment, engagement, and performance success.

Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to assess performance, outcomes, and future opportunities.

Serve as the key liaison between partners and internal teams (sales, marketing, product, and leadership).

Analyze the South African and wider African wellness, HR tech, and SaaS landscapes to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Provide feedback and insights to leadership and product teams to refine strategy and offerings for regional markets.

Key Requirements (Quantifiable)

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in partnerships, business development, or channel management, ideally within SaaS, HR Tech, Corporate Wellness, or HealthTech industries.

Track Record: Proven success in developing and managing 5+ strategic partnerships or channel accounts in the region.

Regional Expertise: Strong understanding of South African business culture, partnership ecosystems, and corporate structures.

Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated experience closing partnership deals of significant value and complexity.

Networking: Established network within corporate HR, wellness providers, and enterprise sectors is a strong advantage.

Communication: Fluency in English required; additional local languages are a plus.

Tech Proficiency: Experience using HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other partner or sales enablement tools.
