Role Overview

The Paid Ads Specialist will focus on hands-on, keyboard-level execution inside Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, with an emphasis on trafficking, campaign setup, ad uploads, and flawless operational execution. This is not a strategy role and it is not responsible for pushing campaigns live; it is about building everything accurately inside the platforms, ensuring launch readiness before internal QA. The role is execution-heavy and ideal for someone who thrives with minimal handholding, works fast, maintains accuracy, and contributes to shaping internal ad operations workflows, tools, and documentation as the team scales.

Responsibilities
Trafficking & Setup (Primary)
  • Hands-on setup inside Meta & Google Ads (expert level): campaigns, ad sets / ad groups, ads, naming conventions, URLs, structures, and audiences.
  • Build campaigns for 6+ clients following all specs, flighting requirements, and internal frameworks.
  • Ensure all strategist inputs are correctly transferred into the platforms.
  • Manage audience mapping, placements, tracking parameters, and UTM structures across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok (as applicable), and other platforms.
Ad Trafficking & Operational Execution
  • Receive inputs from strategists and upload everything accurately and quickly.
  • Ensure clean, structured, and compliant builds before handoff to the internal QA team.
  • Implement brand-safety settings, allow / block lists, and platform policy checks.
QA (Pre- & Post-Handoff)
  • Validate creatives, ad sizes / durations, click-through paths, UTMs, and tag / pixel behavior (basic validation).
  • Confirm platform policy compliance to prevent rejections.
  • Perform pre-flight checks before internal QA reviews.
Launch Handoff
  • Prepare trafficking sheets and launch checklists for clean handoffs.
  • Coordinate with channel leads who are responsible for final activation ("pushing live").
Monitor & Escalate
  • Track pacing, delivery, and disapprovals.
  • Triage issues such as creative rejections, under-delivery, and tracking inconsistencies with clear next steps and concise internal updates.
Collaboration
  • Partner with strategists and channel leads to understand requirements, timelines, and specs.
  • Provide clear, concise internal communication and status updates.
Standards & Safety
  • Apply brand-safety guidelines, suitability settings, and client requirements.
  • Maintain accuracy in specs, naming conventions, and platform structures.
Internal Guide & Documentation
  • Contribute to building internal documentation, workflows, operational frameworks, and ad ops best practices.
  • Help define best practices for a role that is being built for the first time.
Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on paid media execution in Meta and Google Ads.
  • Must have agency experience, managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Expertise in trafficking within Google Ads and Meta; exposure to TikTok, Reddit, Snap, or other channels is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field preferred.

  • Strong operational experience with naming conventions, UTM structures, audience setups, and pixel checks.
