Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Shift pattern – Monday -Friday (core hours – 8-4 / 8:30-4:30 / 9-5)

We are recruiting for an Administration & Waiting List Manager to support the delivery of care within our ENT (citywide) and Urology (South) services.

This role involves overseeing patient scheduling across clinics and theatres, managing waiting times in line with Scottish Government standards, monitoring and managing waiting list performance and leading a team of administrative staff. The post sits within a busy surgical specialty where clear communication and strong coordination skills are essential. You will work closely with clinical and managerial colleagues to ensure services run efficiently and patients are seen in a timely and well-organised manner.

Applicants must have experience in managing complex administrative systems, ideally in a healthcare setting, and a working knowledge of the NHS GGC access policy and the National Cancer Waiting time’s policies.

This role calls for a confident and organised individual with leadership skills, a practical approach to problem-solving, and ease with digital systems.
