Job summary

A leading construction company in South Africa is seeking a candidate to take full national accountability for precast concrete and paving manufacturing operations. The ideal applicant will have at least 10 years of experience in the industry, coupled with a relevant technical qualification. This is a full-time permanent role with substantial travel requirements.

Purpose of the Role

To take full national accountability for all precast concrete and paving manufacturing operations, driving production excellence, profitability, zero-harm safety, quality standards and strong leadership across multiple business units country-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Full oversight of production, mechanical, technical, IR, safety, recruitment and training for all precast / paving plants nationwide
• National business & production planning and strict budget management
• Rapid and effective handling of operational contingencies and crisis management
• Drive performance management at plant, team and individual level
• Implement and maintain a true "zero harm" safety culture

Requirements

• Grade 12 or relevant NQF4 equivalent.
• Relevant tertiary technical / operations qualification.
• 10 years' experience in precast concrete / paving manufacturing environment.
