About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Health Nurse to join our dynamic team. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting the health and safety of employees through health education, injury prevention, and the management of workplace-related illnesses and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations
  • Assess, treat, and manage occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Promote health and wellness programmes within the workplace
  • Maintain accurate health records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with management and health and safety officers to ensure a safe working environment
  • Provide counselling and education on occupational health matters
  • Manage immunisation and vaccination programmes
  • Monitor and report on workplace hazards and incidents
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid SANC registration
  • Occupational Health Nursing qualification (post-basic)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Advantageous
  • Experience with health risk assessments
  • Knowledge of South African occupational health legislation
