Overview

Beverage manufacturer is seeking qualified Millwrights to join their Maintenance Department at their facility in the eastern suburbs of Johannesburg.

The successful candidates will be responsible for attending to breakdowns, conducting preventative maintenance, and assisting with installations and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing complex bottling and packaging equipment
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks
• Interpreting mechanical schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals
• Conducting equipment diagnostics and running performance tests
• Managing multiple job cards and meeting tight deadlines
• Coordinating with stores and arranging quotations for parts required
• Ensuring all health and safety standards are upheld on-site
• Participating in a scheduled standby roster for breakdown support

Qualifications

• Qualified Millwright with a strong electrical background
• Minimum 5 years of post-trade experience, preferably within the FMCG sector (mandatory)
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate and capable of writing technical reports
• PLC knowledge will be advantageous
