A healthcare support company in South Africa is seeking a Remote Office Manager to provide high-level support to patients. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years experience in client service and possess excellent English skills. Responsibilities include managing patient communications, scheduling, and addressing billing inquiries. Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing attentive, professional, and personalized support.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communications promptly.
Schedule appointments and manage complex calendars for the physician efficiently.
Manage referrals, prescription forms, and other administrative documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
Discuss pricing and financial arrangements with patients, including high-value services ranging from $ to $18,.
Address questions about out-of-network coverage, reimbursement, insurance processes, and financial agreements, ensuring clarity and confidence.
Act as a trusted guide for patients navigating billing and insurance, effectively communicating the value of the physician's concierge care.
Monitor and communicate clinical concerns to the physician promptly, maintaining continuity and safety in patient care.
Provide proactive, boutique-level service that aligns with the concierge practice model, ensuring each patient feels supported, respected, and valued.
Support special projects, patient follow-ups, and care coordination initiatives as needed.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and empathy in all interactions.
2+ years experience in a Remote Office Manager (or similar) role.
2+ years experience in client service / patient management.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Ability to "sell" the practice.
Experience with DrChrono or other EHR platforms.
Experience working in a medical office (preferably OGBYN, primary care or other patient-facing specialties).
Experience with soft phone systems such as FluentStream or Spruce.
Experience with Google Workspace.
Self-starter – ability to work independently without close supervision.
Ability to handle high volume of patient interactions.
Friendly and empathetic towards patients.
Excellent judgment skills in triaging urgent vs routine matters.
Full-time position; Monday–Friday, EST.
Fully remote role for a U.S.-based company.
Pay ranges from R14, - R16, per month.
Annual raises and confirmed holidays.
