Job description

This growing co-educational independent school in Parktown, Johannesburg, is looking for an innovative and inspiring Mathematics educator in the High School to contribute to our quality team.

This exciting position is available to an exceptional candidate able to use their talents and experience to create a warm and nurturing world-class learning environment, with a strong track record of teaching creatively, developing exceptional critical thinking skills and showing innovation in education, whilst working together with other teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Bring an innovative, progressive approach to teaching Mathematics
  • Bring a progressive, innovative approach to teaching Mathematics in a differentiated classroom, addressing the diverse needs of learners.
  • Possess strong knowledge of the IEB assessment procedures
  • Experience marking Matric exams in Mathematics and/or Mathematical Literacy and/or Further Studies Mathematics is advantageous.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in education and technology.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team, including educators in other phases, to develop innovative curriculum strategies.
  • Have strong organisational and administrative skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Be willing to engage in continuous professional development and mentoring.
