Role Overview

This is a pivotal role to accelerate HCLTech’s growth in Africa. Based in South Africa, the Marketing manager will be responsible for regional campaign execution, event management, and demand generation, aligned with the region’s strategic priorities. The position requires a hands‑on marketer with deep local market knowledge who can work independently in the market, collaborating with the wider marketing and sales ecosystem to drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an integrated regional marketing strategy and plan
  • Partner with the regional marketing head to develop an integrated marketing strategy and plan for Africa
  • Collaborate with regional sales leadership teams to align the Marketing strategy with business priorities for the region
  • Collaborate with wider Marketing organization to take global best practices and implement in the region
  • Campaign Development and Execution
  • Localize and activate campaigns for African markets.
  • Develop region-specific messaging and assets across digital, social, and offline channels.
  • Execute multi‑channel demand‑generation campaigns to build pipeline and brand awareness.
  • Event and Partnership Marketing
  • Plan, manage, and deliver regional events (conferences, roundtables, sponsorships).
  • Leverage partnerships with local associations, chambers of commerce, and industry bodies.
  • Identify opportunities for HCLTech thought leadership in Africa.
  • Sales and Business Enablement
  • Partner with country sales leaders to support pipeline acceleration.
  • Provide regional intelligence to help shape go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Ensure consistent messaging aligned with regional marketing priorities.
  • Measurement & Reporting
  • Monitor and report ROI of campaigns, events, and partnerships.
  • Track KPIs including pipeline contribution, event ROI, and brand reach.
  • Recommend improvements for continuous optimization.
Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience in B2B marketing (technology/professional services preferred).
  • Proven track record of multi‑country marketing execution in Africa.
  • Strong skills in digital marketing, events, and demand generation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work in a matrix/global team.
  • Strong network with media, agencies, and event partners in South Africa and across Africa.
  • Self‑starter, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
