Role Overview

Manager : IT Operations and Special Projects

Location: Sandton, Johannesburg • Work Arrangement: On-site, 5 days / week • Reports To: Financial Director

Responsibilities

IT Special Projects

  • Support and lead initiatives across capital raising, investment, and central operations
  • Drive development of internal systems such as a SQL-based database and investor portal
  • Collaborate with teams across South Africa, UK, and USA to refine processes and enhance tech-driven efficiency

IT Operations Oversight

  • Manage third-party service providers ensuring smooth desktop support and infrastructure performance
  • Monitor IT procurement, licensing, and expenditure
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity processes
  • Identify and mitigate IT risks including cyber threats
Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in IT operations or project management within financial services
  • Experience with alternative investments or asset management (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Self-driven with a strategic mindset and entrepreneurial approach
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects across geographies
  • Naturally proactive with strong ownership and autonomy
  • Thrives in fast-paced, results-oriented environments

Remuneration

R85 000 – R110 000 cost to company per month, negotiable and will depend on factors such as current earnings, experience, and role alignment. Eligible candidates are encouraged to send their updated CVs and current/previous remuneration details.
