Position Overview

Global Delivery Centre (GDC) Operations Manager of Professional Services – based in the South Africa Cape Town office, hybrid work model (3 days from home per week). Seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a team of approximately 14 back‑office professionals providing shared services to the EMEA Professional Services department. Report directly to the Director of Professional Services in South Africa; dotted line to the Operations Director in EMEA. Key focus on high‑quality service delivery, operations, project coordination and PMO services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team, fostering collaboration, accountability and excellence.
  • Oversee hiring, training, development and performance management of team members.
  • Ensure delivery of operational, project‑coordination and PMO services to the highest standard and align with organisational objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and processes, identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive consistency of approach and service delivery across the EMEA region in line with global strategies.
  • Act as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders within the EMEA Professional Services department, managing expectations and resolving issues.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on team performance, challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director, EMEA to shape, develop and support scaling of services and operational models.
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in operations, project management or shared services roles; at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of back‑office operations, project coordination and PMO services.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead diverse teams, fostering high‑performance cultures and operational excellence.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, manage competing priorities and maintain client‑centric focus.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, organisational, presentation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with resource management, process optimisation, improvement and efficiency.
  • Experience in a global or multi‑regional environment is a plus.
