Maintenance coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, stocking inventory and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal functionality and safety. The role is essential to ensure that all the equipment and infrastructure is maintained efficiently and effectively.

- Develop and create maintenance schedules for equipment and facility
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance work of surface Mobile Manufacturing Units
- Create and assign maintenance work orders of 65 Mobile Manufacturing Units
- Identify and priorities maintenance needs based on operational requirements
- Ensure that maintenance tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standard
- Manage and track maintenance requests, work orders from inception to completion
- Maintain inventory and ordering of spare parts
- Oversee maintenance supplies inventory
- Ensure that tools, parts are available to complete maintenance tasks efficiently
- Track common failed parts and develop a replenishment strategy for spare part management
- Manage inventory spares to be value of R5 million rands
- Ensure that maintenance operations comply with the OHS ACT and Mine Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols
- Assist in conducting site audits for safety, compliance and operational readiness
- Critical assessment of maintenance operations
- Identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven decisions
- Communicate with other departments on scheduled maintenance
- Ensure that maintenance logs are updated
- Support the Engineering Services Superintendent with maintenance logs
- Compare invoices to the requested work and address discrepancies
- Liaise with contractors to ensure services are performed as required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and costs
