Job description

Our client, a leading player in the LPG sector, is seeking an experienced and safety‑focused LPG Plant Operator to join their team on a full‑time basis. This is a critical role for the safe and efficient operation of their processing facility.

Requirements

• National Certificate in Chemical Operations or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred.
• Has proven experience as a Plant Operator within the oil and gas industry, with LPG experience being highly advantageous
• Possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance
• Is familiar with regulations for handling and storing hazardous materials (LPG).
• Is physically fit for tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Has excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Is willing to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor LPG processing equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, and pipelines
• Conduct loading and offloading of LPG road tankers
• Perform regular plant inspections, monitor process parameters, and ensure adherence to safety standards (SOPs)
• Manage product transfers between tanks and blend LPG to meet specified vapour pressure requirements
• Conduct quality testing of products as per customer requirements
• Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and safety inspections
• Respond decisively to plant emergencies and participate in safety initiatives
