SUMMARY: We require a junior Logistics Coordinator for a freight forwarding company in the Somerset West area.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Shipping, International Trade etc.
• Previous experience in freight forwarding / agriculture
• Computer literate

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the operational procedures involved with the forecasting, co-ordination, scheduling, transport & shipment of perishables to Europe, Mediterranean, Russia & Baltic for container and conventional.
• Manage deviations and implement corrective action.
• Manage internal & external communication / information requirements.
• Responsible for the shipment of over 2000 containers.
• Communicate with suppliers and clients on deviations.
• Manage internal functions.
• Coordinate workflow.
• Manage supplier relationships.
• Manage bookings, loadouts and instructions.
• Manage inspections and vessel tracking.
• Process invoices.
