Our client, a leader within the Generator and Alternative Energy Industry, is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, passionate, friendly, and results driven Logistics Coordinator to join the energetic & dynamic team. This individual is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods, services, and information within an organization. This includes developing and implementing logistics strategies, managing budgets and resources, coordinating with external vendors and suppliers, and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods and services to customers. Also implementing logistics policies and procedures and collaborating with other departments within the organization to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services.

Qualifications required

• Matric with Mathematics, C Symbol or higher
• Degree (not essential but beneficial)

Experience required

• 0 5 years related working experience.
• Solar, Electrical. Mechanical or Technical interest (Not essential but beneficial)

Responsibilities & Duties (include but not limited to)

• Collaborate with vendors to identify and eliminate logistics obstacles to ensure safe and timely shipping of products.
• Develop standard operating procedures and scheduling/shipping practices for efficiently carrying out logistic activities.
• Inform cost changes, logistical issues and supply concerns to respective personnel and team in timely manner.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Review customer orders to determine items to be stocked and shipped.
• Maintain a good relationship with our customer base, vendors, and service providers.
• Provide professional and adequate service to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction.
• Update customers on the status of their order.
• Stress-resistant and be able to work in a high-performance environment.
• Allocate correct vehicles to assure delivery is done on time, with the right equipment.
• Develop and monitor routing instructions.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Reception of the transportation requests from internal customers to delivering the cargo to the corresponding destination in the requested timeframe.
• Assignment of the transportation bookings by tendering the loads to the dedicated fleet or 3rd party carriers depending on availability, pre-approved rates, while making efficient utilization of the fleets.
• Comply with routing guide; identifying and influencing opportunities to drive cost improvement.
• Assist with loading vehicles in a timely, effective, and accurate manner to ensure on-site traffic flow.
• Provide reports as requested by the company.
• Ensure all required documentation is provided to the correct departments/personnel to ensure accurate loading.
• Provide customers with accurate delivery and collection information to ensure loading efficiency.
• Ensuring customer accounts are up to date.
• Efficient allocation of stock to ensure warehouse workflow is not interrupted.
