Overview

Are you passionate about creating functional, inspiring spaces that support academic excellence? Lehigh University seeks a dynamic Planner to lead transformative interior design projects across our prestigious campus.

Position Number: S97450

This position is a Grade: 9 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $55,200 - $67,180 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive programming and feasibility studies for space optimization
  • Design innovative space plans and furniture layouts for academic and administrative areas
  • Coordinate complex moves and space transitions with minimal disruption to University operations
  • Collaborate with Project Management staff on larger capital projects for interior finishes and furniture selection
  • Provide design leadership and expertise across diverse University spaces
  • Update CAD plans with graphic information from recent projects to maintain accurate archives
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • One to three years of related work experience
  • NCIDQ Certification preferred
  • Design, space planning, architectural programming, interior finish selections, furniture layouts
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial furniture selection and procurement is a must for consideration for this position
  • Move coordination and signage experience preferred
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, in an institutional or similar environment is preferred
