Our client has a long history of success in the Johannesburg CBD and boasts an impressive retail and commercial portfolio. They have an extensive record of buying and renovating properties and take pride in managing their entire portfolio and facilities in-house. To join their multi-faceted team, they are seeking a dynamic individual todrive their collections and assist in all manner of legal advisory and drafting work.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this temporary role will be based, full-time, in their high-quality offices in the Marshaltown. While most of the role will require spearheading their rental collections function, you will also need to manage their in-house legal function. This will involve managing external attorneys, drafting of legal agreements, assisting with contract vetting & negotiation with a variety of SLAs, as well as providing legal support to the facilities, leasing and development teams. In short, a strong grasp of legal frameworks within the property sector, coupled with a keen eye for effective collections strategies will be central to excelling in this role.

They are seeking an admitted attorney with 2 to 3 years of post-admission experience. Experience in managing legal aspects of property leasing, rental agreements, and keeping up to date with changes within the property-related litigation sphere will be highly advantageous. That said, would suit any legal professional who is detail driven & who can run a tight ship in large commercial rental spaces.
