Job summary

Lecturer: Finance and Accounting – Durban North Campus

We have a vacancy for a Lecturer in Finance and Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures on programmes across various modes of delivery where relevant.
• Mark assessments and provide feedback to students in subjects lectured; moderate assessment scripts within subject fields across IIE sites of delivery.
• Assist in lecturer development and support processes, including conducting peer reviews, facilitating workshops and one-on-one consultations.
• Champion, lead, and manage academic development and support for a specific programme and its students; track student success and implement support interventions where required.
• Promote a culture of scholarship within practice, discipline and campus/team; contribute to IIE’s Varsity College achieving annual research output targets.

Minimum Education Requirements

• Qualified CA(SA).
• Master’s Degree in the relevant field of study or studying towards Master's Degree is advantageous.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years teaching and learning experience (preferably in a teaching environment).
• Lecturing experience in Auditing and/or Management Accounting and Finance.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00.
