Purpose of Job

To manage the implementation of business improvement processes initiatives drive operational change, process improvement, and optimisation.

Key Accountabilities
  • Architect for transformation related to organizational transformation and change business case development and benefits translation.
  • Evaluate the OME's processes, business model, operations and efficiency in meeting previous strategic objectives.
  • Provide transformation leadership, executing the strategy, directing the selection and justification of initiatives that deliver the strategy.
  • Determine the best-fit approach for the OMEs to achieve current and future short- and long-term goals effectively.
  • Identify areas requiring change or business transformation to achieve approved strategic goals and enable performance optimization.
  • Co-ordinate articulating the key outcomes, identification & integration of targets into budgets.
  • Co-ordinate initiative delivery in area of responsibility and support teams.
  • Responsible for Agile board management including backlog items and impediments for projects in area of responsibility.
  • Act as Scrum Master on projects as required.
  • Manage project risks.
  • Address specific issues by implementing corrective strategies to enable optimal investments and business development activities.
  • Identify areas of business development that facilitate project implementation and that help meet anticipated demand.
  • Oversee and approve business transformation framework and provide support to teams carrying out transformation activities.
  • Communicate both to Sponsors and the business about transformation by reinforcement of the transformation culture that will ensure a joined-up communication and change approach.
  • Partner with relevant Energy Business OMEs to enable performance improvement.
  • Analyse and interpret Financial information.
  • Manage organization change, coordinate stakeholders and builds commitment through the organization via the sponsorship spine.
  • Collaborate with Chemical and Energy Operations transformation offices to align and set framework and oversee design & delivery on transformation new organisational capabilities (Incl. Operating model, coordination with organisation design, rewards and WFT) for Energy Business.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge established views and ways of working to influence and realize benefits that goes beyond to more fundamental transformation outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility through ongoing monitoring and adjustment to maximize value.
  • Pro-actively act as thought partner in solution development on transformation initiatives, projects and programmes group wide.
  • Provide strategic support and project management of business transformation plans, which may cover different business functions in commercial and operational environments.
  • Foster subject matter expertise in identified disciplines and drive innovation and facilitate knowledge sharing within the OMEs.
  • Ensuring alignment in approach and application of best practices with peer transformation offices (Energy Operations & Chemicals).
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to communicate changes and transformation, and seek their buy-in.
  • Ability to work with a variety of initiatives and across various OMEs.
