Job description

The role provides support to senior technicians and engineers in handling day-to-day technical queries within the branch and assisting with customer service-related technical tasks. This position is designed to help build technical capability within the branch and support after-sales service under direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with customer technical support requests escalating complex issues to senior staff.
  • Accompany senior technicians on local site visits to: support commissioning of new systems, observe and assist in diagnosing faulty equipment, learn to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Assist in processing warranty claims under guidance.
  • Help sales consultants with basic technical questions about products and systems.
  • Support the documentation of technical issues and potential solutions.
  • Attend supplier or internal training sessions as required.
  • Assist with record-keeping and updating the company CRM with supervision.
  • Participate in team meetings and learning activities to develop technical skills and product knowledge.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/NQF4 equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of exposure or experience in a technical support, electrical, or backup power environment is preferred.
  • A basic electrical qualification or relevant technical diploma is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
