Job Overview

We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Junior SEO Specialist to support our growing digital marketing team.

This full-time, remote role is perfect for someone with 1–2 years of hands‑on SEO experience who's comfortable with both technical and content optimization.

You’ll help drive organic traffic, improve rankings, and support SEO initiatives across HOSTAFRICA’s web properties

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content and on‑page optimization
• Optimize web pages for search engines (meta tags, internal linking, headings, etc.)
• Perform regular technical SEO audits and assist in resolving issues
• Track, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
• Collaborate with content, design, and dev teams to implement SEO best practices
• Monitor backlink profiles and assist with link‑building outreach
• Stay current with the latest SEO and search engine algorithm trends

Requirements

• 1–2 years of hands‑on SEO experience (in‑house, agency, or freelance)
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and SEO tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush
• Understanding of technical SEO concepts (site speed, crawlability, indexing, etc.)
• Experience working with CMS platforms like WordPress
• Strong analytical, writing, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
