We partner with private and public organisations to place and develop young people through training, TES/YES placements and permanent employment.

Junior Recruitment & Placement Coordinator

We are looking for a Junior Recruitment & Placement Coordinator who is passionate about youth employment, highly organised, and great with people.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Recruit Youth And Staff For
  • ESM training programmes
  • TES/YES placements
  • Permanent ESM positions
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: advertising, screening CVs, interviewing, shortlisting and supporting onboarding.
  • Build and maintain a talent pool/standby database of potential learners, placements and future ESM employees.
  • Liaise with clients and placement partners to understand their labour requirements.
  • Create and manage weekly placement schedules, ensuring the right people are placed at the right sites at the right time.
  • Conduct daily check-ins to verify attendance and resolve basic placement issues.
  • Track employees and learners to ensure they meet programme and employment targets.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system updates and exit interviews.
  • Capture and verify time & attendance and hours worked for payroll and billing purposes.
  • Support incident management and elevate cases to HR where necessary.
Education
Minimum Requirements
  • BCom Degree in Human Resources (or equivalent-related degree).
Experience
  • At least 1 year’s experience in recruitment, HR administration and/or TES/placement environments.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of South African labour (especially relating to youth, TES and fixed‑term arrangements).
  • Experience working with unemployed youth and/or community recruitment (advantageous).
  • Exposure to YES, learnerships or youth employment programmes (advantageous).
  • Comfortable working with systems and tools such as:

  • Beyond Attendance‑Biometric Software & Systems
  • Simplify.HR‑Recruitment Software
  • Email, MS Office/Google Suite
  • WhatsApp groups for communication and coordination
  • Strong administrative, planning and coordination skills.

Working Hours & Travel
  • Hours: 07:45 – 16:30, Monday to Friday.
  • Additional: Occasional after-hours and weekend work for intakes, orientations or urgent placements.
  • Travel: Required within Gauteng to client and placement sites.
