We have launched a new central operations function based within South Africa in order to underpin the running of a portfolio of UK based businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full recruitment cycle: advertising roles, sourcing candidates, screening CVs, and coordinating interviews.
  • Source candidates using a variety of channels including LinkedIn, local job boards (SA and international), networks and other sourcing methods.
  • Manage communication with candidates, ensuring a professional and positive experience throughout with regular contact.
  • Prepare and share candidate shortlists with hiring managers, ensuring clear and accurate summaries.
  • Coordinate in person and teams interview scheduling across time zones.
  • Support compliance and documentation, ensuring hiring processes meet both SA and UK standards.
  • Manage recruitment and HR administration, including running and tracking background and right to work checks.
  • Supporting onboarding documentation and contracts, assisting payroll with new starter information and monthly updates.
  • Keeping recruitment trackers, ATS, and HR systems up to date.
  • Liaise with external providers (background check agencies, payroll providers, benefits administrators).
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for priority roles.
  • Assist with recruitment administration, including updating systems, trackers, and reporting on progress.
  • Learn and apply market insights to help identify where talent can be found, costs and how to attract them.
Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - confident engaging with candidates and liaising with managers at all levels.
  • Comfortable with digital tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Excel, Teams, ATS systems).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and regions in a fast‑paced environment, meeting time‑sensitive deadlines across different timezones.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A team player who takes ownership and is eager to learn.
  • Interest in international recruitment processes (UK hiring experience an advantage, but not essential).
  • Interest in the scaled application of AI across recruitment processes.
Qualifications

We are looking for people who ideally have 1–2 years' experience in recruitment, HR admin, or talent acquisition (agency or in‑house).

Relevant diploma / degree in HR, Business, or a related field is advantageous, but not essential.
