The Junior Project Coordinator supports the Program Manager in coordinating project activities across defence and engineering manufacturing environments. This entry-level role offers hands‑on exposure to project management methodologies including PMI PMBOK and ISO **** systems, while developing skills in stakeholder communication, compliance administration, and project documentation. REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business Management (or equivalent)
  • 1–3 years' relevant work experience in manufacturing, defence, telecommunications, aeronautics, or related industries
Required Nature of Applicable Experience
  • CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, or equivalent project management certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Exposure to defence or engineering manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with ISO **** systems, systems engineering processes, or PMI PMBOK methodology
  • Knowledge of business systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Oracle

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, WEIGHTS AND TASKS
  • Project Coordination & Support — 30%
    • Assist the Program Manager with daily coordination of project activities, deliverables, and schedules
    • Support the preparation and updating of project plans and timelines in Microsoft Project
    • Participate in project meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items
    • Contribute to project documentation including Project Management Plans, Risk Registers, Change Requests, and Status Reports
    • Ensure project documentation is properly maintained and version‑controlled in accordance with Alaris quality procedures
  • Monitoring & Reporting — 20%
    • Track project progress against milestones (e.g. PDR, CDR, FDR, FAT, ESS, EMC)
    • Gather, analyse, and summarise data for project status reports
    • Support internal and client project review meetings with accurate progress updates
    • Facilitate change requests and ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of schedule and budget impacts
  • Stakeholder Communication — 15%
    • Liaise with internal departments (Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, Finance) to ensure project deliverables remain aligned
    • Support preparation and execution of project communication plans
    • Coordinate the development of client‑facing materials (manuals, training content, project documentation)
    • Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables and manage satisfaction during transition phases
  • Compliance, Administration & Governance — 15%
    • Maintain project documentation according to Alaris quality procedures and PMO frameworks
    • Ensure adherence to internal governance, configuration control, and defence compliance standards (e.g. MIL-STD)
    • Uphold confidentiality, data integrity, and traceability in project files and communications
    • Participate in post‑project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful elements
    • Detect and propose opportunities for improvement within the project process
    • Support initiatives to enhance project efficiency and PMO process maturity
