Job summary

The role focuses on production planning, materials planning, and WIP control within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist with production planning and control to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and support operations plans (OPS) and MRP forecasting.
  • Generate daily production plans and reschedule as required.
  • Monitor and report production vs plan performance.
  • Assist with WIP control and job variance analysis.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

SUMMARY

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, in New Germany, is seeking a Junior Materials & Production Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is based on-site and focuses on production planning, materials planning, WIP control, and supply chain support within a manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment
  • Exposure to production planning, materials planning, or supply chain coordination
  • Relevant degree, diploma, or certificate
  • Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of ERP systems advantageous (SYSPRO advantageous)
  • Basic lean manufacturing knowledge an advantage
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with production planning and control to ensure on-time delivery
  • Prepare and support operations plans (OPS) and MRP forecasting
  • Generate daily production plans and reschedule as required
  • Monitor and report production vs plan performance
  • Assist with WIP control, job variance analysis, and corrective action plans
  • Support monthly stock takes (raw materials and work-in-progress)
  • Coordinate dispatch and transport planning for finished goods
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding delivery dates and service levels
  • Maintain accurate planning, production, and stock records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain
