Job description

PLEASE NOTE : This position is based in the Southern Suburbs

The role of the Gardens team is to provide high quality garden services to ensure business performance is optimised. The Estate and Garden unit is responsible for the management of all gardens and related aspects within the Estate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Keen interest in landscape, gardens and ground maintenance.

Maintain effective housekeeping solutions

Comply with sound environmental, ecological, and waste management practices.

Good knowledge of pesticide application

Good knowledge of fertilizer application

Goof knowledge of garden maintenance

• Ensure compliance with OHS, BCEA and LRA acts and apply the required principles
• Improve the aesthetic appeal of the surrounding environment to complement existing architecture and ensure longevity of the grounds.

Required Work Experience

Valid Driver's Licence

• A minimum of 2 years’ project management or similar related experience & experience in a similar role in a horticultural environment.
• Previous landscape experience is advantageous
• Knowledge of local South African laws and practices required
• A clean criminal record and a person of sober habits is required
• Conversational in South African languages advantageous
