Our client, based in Amanzimtoti, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join their finance team. The ideal candidate has Pastel experience, understands sectional title or body corporate processes, and is comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team.
Based in Amanzimtoti
- Experience with Pastel is essential
- Body corporate/property industry experience preferred
- CTC: R10 000
- Mature, dependable candidates will be prioritised
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Process daily transactions and maintain accurate general ledger records
- Capture and reconcile bank statements on Pastel
- Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting
- Prepare and send out levy statements and handle levy-related queries
- Allocate receipts and payments to correct accounts
- Maintain records of supplier invoices and assist in payment preparation
- Liaise with trustees, residents, and service providers regarding accounts and payments
- Assist with budgeting processes and ensure expense tracking
- Support the accountant or senior bookkeeper with ad hoc duties
- Maintain proper filing and financial document control
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) with Maths/Accounting
- Minimum 2 years’ bookkeeping or accounts assistant experience
- Pastel experience is essential
- Experience in a body corporate, sectional title, or property management environment is a strong advantage
- Strong attention to detail and good reconciliation skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Preferably a mature, stable candidate with a strong sense of responsibility
- Own transport or reliable commuting to Amanzimtoti
