Admin & Operations Assistant required for a company based in East London (Brakfontein Area)

Contract: 1-year fixed term

Overview

This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong numerical ability, good moral character, and the willingness to learn and grow within the business. The successful candidate will receive full training in HR, payroll, stock management, and general administrative functions.

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Subjects including Science or Biology preferred.
  • A good grade in Mathematical Literacy (or Mathematics).
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
  • Strong aptitude for numbers and detail.
  • A solid moral and ethical foundation.
Key Responsibilities
HR & Payroll Support
  • Assist the HR Officer with day-to-day HR administration.
  • Support basic payroll functions, including data checks and staff follow-ups.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with staff and support labour-related administration.
  • Learn and assist with labour law compliance, documentation, and engagement.
Operations & Stock Management
  • Participate in stock takes and assist with weekly ordering and replenishment.
  • Assist with tracking and recording stock levels and usage.
Administrative Support
  • Process and manage delivery notes and related documentation.
  • Assist with database management as certain functions transition from external to internal processes.
  • Provide administrative support across departments as needed.
