Job summary

A dynamic finance company in Johannesburg is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will prepare management accounts and Annual Financial Statements, assist with month-end and year-end processes, and maintain accurate general ledger entries. Proficiency in Xero and CaseWare is essential. This position offers an annual salary between R 350 000 and R 450 000, with a focus on teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree required.
• Completed articles (CA or PA pathway) required.
• Proficiency in Xero and CaseWare is essential.
• Strong understanding of management accounts and AFS preparation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain management accounts and Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts
• Work with Xero and CaseWare to ensure efficient reporting and compliance
• Support budgeting forecasting and financial analysis initiatives
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes
