Industry Manager: Lubes and Energy

IMCD oiltech South Africa is looking for an experienced Industry Manager to join the Lubricants and Energy team based in Johannesburg reporting into the Business Group Director.

Person Profile: Targeted Skills & Capabilities
  • Ambitious, talented, technically oriented, seeking a commercial career. Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent), with more than 5 years’ experience in a commercial / technical environment. Experience in sales of raw materials to the Lubricants and Oil industries is key. Formulation knowledge for these applications would be beneficial. Previous experience with export related markets, would be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial drive, analytical mindset, and good interpersonal skills. Willing and able to travel nationally, into Africa as well as abroad if required.
  • Analytical self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to compile and present presentations and reports. IT literate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize accordingly.
  • Position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize and develop commercial and technical management skills within a dynamic multinational company.
The position is responsible for:
  • Maximizing profitability, controlling working capital, growing the portfolio, and achieving budgetary objectives for your selected product portfolio.
  • Introducing new product ranges, concepts, and applications to the market.
  • Technical assistance to customers and colleagues.
  • Constructing a business plan which will include strategies and sales forecasts for annual budgets.
  • Assist in co‑coordinating sales of product and managing product availability on a national basis.
  • Maintaining customer databases on all allocated customers on CRM system on an ongoing basis.
  • Stock Management, Debtor and Working Capital Management.
  • Obtaining information relating to specific market surveys.
Expected Qualification / Education

BSc degree or equivalent.

Work Experience

Between 5 – 10 years proven sales experience in a related field.

Primary Job Location

275 Oak Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg, South Africa

Travel

Nationally, as well as into Africa and abroad as required.
