Job summary

A recruitment agency in South Africa seeks a Warehouse Supervisor experienced in FMCG and Manufacturing. Requirements
  • Matric,
  • Min 5 years experience in warehousing on Supervisor level.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
Role Competencies
  • FMCG, Manufacturing and Warehousing sector experience essential.
  • Full knowledge of the requirements in respect of global standards of warehousing / dispatching.
  • understand risk, business processes and controls.
  • Excellent leadership skill, including strong coaching experience.
  • FIFO strategies.
Duties
  • Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
  • Evaluating and reporting on warehouse receipts as per daily requirements.
  • Coordinating the receipt, storage and packing of packed goods and materials.
  • Checking, processing and filing of all IBTs both from the Packing plant as well as the other ASO sites.
  • Effectively control of Hard and Soft Oil packed products via stock sheet counting daily.
  • Perform a physical check on all customer returns coming back into the warehouse.
  • Ensure all documents and communication is completed pertaining to the customer returns.
  • Liaise with Warehouse Management, Quality and Stock controller as to the quarantining of the returned product.
  • Support logistics staff in other locations.
  • Stock receipts both manual and SAGE must be completed on the same day as the physical receipts.
  • Effectively handles returns, from packing plant, customers and other site warehouses.
