Job Description
- Collaborate with development to ensure a smooth handover of completed features and releases into testing and deployment phases.
- Oversee and maintain high‑quality testing standards ensuring all releases meet functional performance and user experience expectations.
- Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), validating new features and resolving defects prior to production release.
- Design documents and continuously improve testing procedures, scripts and checklists to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Support the implementation and refinement of automated and manual testing frameworks to ensure product reliability.
- Identify areas for process improvement in testing and deployment workflows, driving continuous quality enhancement initiatives.
- Prepare and manage deployment plans ensuring readiness of environments, data and configurations prior to release.
- Coordinate and execute software deployments to staging and production environments with minimal downtime and risk.
- Monitor post‑deployment performance, validating stability and verifying that fixes and features function as intended.
- Work closely with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues discovered during testing or deployment.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for test results, configurations, release notes and environment details.
- Ensure adherence to security compliance and quality assurance standards across all deployment activities.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on testing protocols, deployment best practices and quality control measures.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (a relevant diploma with strong experience may also be considered).
- Certification in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Quality Assurance would be advantageous.
- Project Management or Implementation‑related certification (e.g., Prince2, PMP or Agile/Scrum) preferred.
Experience
- 35 years of experience in software implementation, quality assurance or testing roles ideally within a small to medium‑sized software company.
- Proven track record of leading or coordinating implementation teams and delivering successful client rollouts.
- Experience with test planning, execution and defect management processes and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or clients simultaneously.
- Exposure to ERP or custom software deployments would be beneficial.
