About this Role

The British High Commission in South Africa plays a pivotal role in promoting economic development through a select array of activities and partnerships aimed at fostering inclusive growth and reducing poverty.

As the Impact Investment Lead, the primary focus will be on driving and managing the British High Commission's strategic engagement with South African governmental bodies, businesses, and regulators on pertinent investment issues.

The role is key in steering the UK's objectives in SME investment and economic collaboration with South Africa, overseeing crucial programmes such as the SME investment programme and the Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA) programme.

This position is a unique opportunity to enhance the UK's foreign relations and partake in cross‑sectoral collaborations for sustainable economic outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a new impact investment programme in collaboration with Anglo American.
