Job description
Overview

Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Business Partner to take ownership of the full HR function. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with management while driving HR governance, compliance, and people development initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Focus Areas
  • People Management: Recruitment, payroll oversight, time and attendance, and performance management.
  • Labour Relations & Compliance: Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EE, BBBEE, MEIBC Main Agreement; manage disciplinary and grievance procedures; represent company in CCMA/MEIBC cases.
  • Learning & Development: Develop and implement training plans, oversee apprenticeship and graduate programmes, manage WSP/SETA submissions, succession planning, and align training to BBBEE targets.
  • HR Governance & Strategy: Develop and implement HR policies, maintain HR risk register, support management with strategic HR input, and lead EE planning.
  • HR Service Delivery: Provide reports to Exco and Board, manage payroll and HR administration, drive employee well-being initiatives, and spearhead strategic HR projects.
Minimum Requirements
  • Human Resources Degree (NQF 7); postgraduate qualification advantageous.
  • 5+ years HR generalist management experience (manufacturing sector experience required).
  • SABPP membership advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of HR legislation, compliance, EE and BBBEE.
  • Proven experience in labour relations, including CCMA/MEIBC case handling.
  • Excellent communication skills (English essential, Zulu advantageous).
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence change.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Sage People 300 advantageous).
