Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to join our SHEQ team. This role requires a strong hands‑on presence on the operational floor to identify, manage and mitigate health and safety risks while also taking ownership of the development, implementation and ongoing management of the company’s Health & Safety Management System.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legislation, drive continuous improvement and foster a proactive safety culture across the organisation.

Responsibilities
Operational Focus
  • Conduct daily site walks, inspections and audits of work areas, equipment and processes.
  • Identify hazards, unsafe conditions and non‑compliance issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Engage actively with supervisors and employees to reinforce safe behaviours and operational discipline.
  • Monitor adherence to Safe Work Procedures and enforce safety standards across all shifts.
Systems & Governance
  • Develop, implement and manage the Health & Safety Management System in line with legislative requirements and company policy.
  • Maintain and update H&S documentation including policies, procedures, registers, risk assessments and audit reports.
  • Analyse safety data, incident trends and audit outcomes to drive improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
