Position title: Head of Marketing - Industry Group Shared Services
The Head of Marketing is responsible for the operational delivery of the group's marketing strategy.
This includes leading the marketing team, managing day‑to‑day execution of campaigns, overseeing digital and brand initiatives, and ensuring marketing activities directly support sales, client engagement, and business growth objectives.
The role requires a hands‑on leader who can translate strategy into action and drive measurable commercial outcomes across multiple business units.
Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and manage the Group Marketing Team, ensuring high performance and alignment with business growth objectives.
- Partner with Group company executives to design and execute marketing strategies that directly support sales, customer retention, and brand growth.
- Develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, PR, and traditional channels to build awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Grow and manage the Merchant West Direct Sales Desk, driving inbound and outbound marketing initiatives to deliver measurable sales growth.
- Strengthen the group's digital presence through data‑driven web, SEO / SEM, content, and social strategies for both B2B and B2C markets.
- Ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment across all Merchant West businesses and client touchpoints.
- Use analytics and reporting to track performance, optimise marketing ROI, and inform leadership decisions.
- Manage marketing budgets, agencies, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient delivery and return on investment.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of senior marketing or sales experience, ideally within financial services or a related B2B / B2C environment.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, brand management, and demand generation.
- Proven leadership experience in a sales and marketing environment.
