Job summary

An established international industry leader is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead maintenance and engineering at their Mpumalanga facility. The role involves managing projects, driving improvements, and mentoring the team. The successful candidate will undergo a 6-month training in the UK. This position is on-site 5 days a week and requires strong engineering leadership in a related industry. A mechanical or electrical engineering degree is preferred.

• Strong engineering leadership experience in manufacturing, agriculture, processing, or heavy industry.
• A hands-on leader who is methodical and passionate.
• Comfortable being on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all maintenance, engineering, and project activities on site.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Mentor, develop, and performance-manage the engineering & maintenance team.
• Report on KPIs including downtime and labour utilisation.
