Overview

We're recruiting on behalf of a client looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering in Renewable Energy to join their team in Cape Town. Job & Company Description: Lead team, manage the engineering budget, contribute to improvement of products and provide strategic input to assist the MANCO and EXCO in making appropriate business decisions.

Education & Qualifications

BEng Electrical Engineering, 3 Phase Trade Test and Wireman's License.

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 9 years of experience in Solar Power Manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of Helioscope, PVSyst, PV Sol, AutoCAD Designing and modelling storage and micro-grid solutions.
• Plan and develop applications and modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance.
• Attend / present at conferences / events, networking with relevant industry stakeholders.
• Keep on top of market changes (regulatory changes, large tenders, shifts in typical business models).
• Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends.
