Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SARS regulations, VAT submissions, FICA compliance, and PAYE processes.
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in full compliance with SARS regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with FICA legislation.
  • Manage payroll processes, including calculating salaries and deductions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Generate detailed financial reports for management.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with SARS and other authorities regarding tax queries.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Continuously review financial processes for efficiency.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and on time
  • Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in full compliance with SARS regulations, identifying any discrepancies and resolving them promptly
  • Ensure compliance with FICA legislation by maintaining proper documentation and conducting necessary verifications for clients and employees
  • Manage payroll processes, including calculating salaries, overtime, and deductions, processing payments, and submitting PAYE and other statutory deductions accurately and on schedule
  • Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and balanced
  • Generate detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key insights, trends, and areas for improvement
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing accurate supporting documentation and explanations as required
  • Liaise with SARS and other relevant authorities regarding tax queries, compliance issues, and submissions
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of all financial and company information, adhering to professional and ethical standards
  • Continuously review financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy within the half-day work schedule
Remuneration

R 10 000 - R 12 000 basic

Work hours

Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 12:00 OR13:00
