JOB SUMMARY
CipherWave, a Johannesburg based Internet Service Provider that offers Connectivity, Cloud, Voice & Security products is looking to hire an exceptional leader in the capacity of Group Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team. The GCFO will be responsible to lead and manage the Finance team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company’s financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for overall finance operations of the company
- Execution of the company’s financial strategy in line with the budgets
- Monitoring and managing cash flow and assisting in financial decisions based on the company finances
- Payroll
- Compiling all financial reports in consultation with the department/divisional heads
- Oversight of all the taxation matters such as VAT, Income Tax, Payroll taxes etc at the bank
- Responsible for ensuring integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Overseeing the entire fiscal operating results in compliance with all accounting principles (including regulatory, government and local laws)
- Reviewing of all major MIS returns as well as presenting it to execs in consultation with the CEO
- Preparing for and ensuring completion of annual financial statements and related returns in consultation with the auditors
- Oversee the preparation and submission of exco reports and dashboards
- Responsible for liaising with the external auditors regarding financial statements & reporting
- Oversight on the implementation of financial governance controls within the business
- Submission of required ICASA regulatory reporting based on the business’s performance

- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- CA(SA) with at least 5 years post articles experience
- Financial Management and Leadership experience
- Regulatory and Compliance expertise
- Strategic Business Acumen
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- Professional qualification in areas such as auditing, financial reporting, taxation, law
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- IFRS 9 Standards knowledge
- Regulatory reporting and frameworks
- Risk management experience
- Leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
