Job description
The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For
  • Overseeing the complete financial function of the Goldi Commercial operations;
  • Deadline-driven and accurate financial reporting i.e. month end reports, financial forecasting, year-end reports, budgets and strategic planning;
  • Business partner with the Chief Operating Officer: Commercial and General Manager;
  • Responsible for adherence and management of internal control processes;
  • Drive a low-cost culture through interaction with the management team;
  • Full trial balance and balance sheet responsibility for the Goldi site;
  • Manage the requests for capital projects and management of the capital budget;
  • Management of a diversified workforce employed within the financial department;
  • Management and regular checking of the Internal Control Matrix and internal controls;
  • Management of financial risk and insurance;
  • Review, update and implement standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for the finance function
  • Budgets, financial analysis and strategic planning;
  • Review of business agreements;
  • Overall responsibility for financial and financial management accounting;
  • Overseeing year-end financial reporting to Astral Foods.
The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements
  • A recognised and relevant CA degree;
  • Qualified as a CA(SA) – a registered Chartered Accountant ;
  • Articles with at least 5 years post-article experience preferential;
  • 5 years’ financial management experience within a large FMCG company will be beneficial;
  • Excellent managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills and the proven ability to plan and problem solve on a daily basis;
  • Have a good understanding of business and operations;
  • Able to regularly travel between sites;
  • The position further requires the services of a computer-literate incumbent with a clear and proven understanding of financial reporting.
