Role Overview

The Fraud Investigator will mitigate suspicious and fraudulent activity throughout the customer journey with Betway. You’ll identify patterns and anomalies, review high‑risk transactions, report findings, and interact with internal and external parties to share best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Monitor real‑time engines and queues, identify high‑risk transactions, and cancel fraudulent activity.
  • Resolve queued transactions within service‑level agreements to reduce revenue loss.
  • Interact with banks and customers to validate information and confirm or cancel authorizations.
  • Maintain fraud analysis models, recommend process improvements, and suggest new detection tools.
  • Generate suspicious activity and risk management reports, review SDD KYC for high‑risk accounts, and manage dispute resolution.
  • Continuously monitor customer records for unauthorized transactions and fraudulent accounts.
Essential Skills
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention and transaction monitoring systems.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial services data analysis or risk management.
  • Knowledge of online payment systems, KYC, and financial crime regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating in cross‑functional teams and managing multiple.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of sports betting markets, odds calculations, and market trends.
  • Experience in the online gaming or casino industry and understanding of player behavior and regulations.
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, pivot tables, and advanced statistical methods.
