About the Role

The FP&A Business Analyst will provide strategic financial planning and analytical support to management, enabling data‑driven decision‑making and long‑term business growth. This role is critical in driving financial insights, supporting investment decisions, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

Location

Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa

Reports to

Financial Manager

  • Prepare and consolidate annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial projections.
  • Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing explanations and corrective actions.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for business plans.
  • Assist with information required for strategic reviews.
  • Assist with economic analysis of investment opportunities.
  • Assist with ROI, NPV, IRR calculations for projects and capital expenditures.
  • Assist with Decision & Risk Analysis (DRA) for major initiatives.
  • Track and report on key financial and operational KPIs.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports.
  • Highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop dashboards and visualization tools for financial data.
  • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems.
  • Ensure alignment of local reporting with group standards and timelines.
  • Support Global FP&A team with information required for Global consolidation and group‑level analysis.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
  • Support audit and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3 - 5 Years in Similar position.
  • Solid understanding of business strategy, management accounting, and finance principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modelling and BI tools.
Optional but Awesome
  • Qualified or enrolled in CIMA is advantageous.
