About the role

Our client in the North West is looking for a skilled and experienced Fitter to join their maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with plant equipment, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.

Minimum requirements

• Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
• Qualified Trade Tested Artisan (Fitter)
• Valid Code 08 / EB Driver’s License
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with welding, motors, gearboxes, conveyors and elevators
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Good communication, conflict handling and team coordination abilities
• Ability to plan, prioritise and work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of integrity, accountability and motivation
• Hands-on, proactive, and results-driven mindset
