Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Pretoria is seeking an experienced individual to oversee financial accounts and manage financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Accounting, extensive experience in accounting software, and at least 5 years in a supervisory position. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements and acting as a liaison with external auditors. This role demands strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • 10 to 15 years of experience with accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience managing payroll and financial documents.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial accounts and ensure accurate records.
  • Manage the reporting process and compile Annual Financial statements.
  • Act as liaison with external auditors.

Job description
Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee financial accounts by ensuring accurate debtors, creditors, and general ledger.

Oversee the management reporting process.

Oversee the compilation of Annual Financial statements.

Act as liaison with external auditors.

Responsible for payroll input (financial) and accounting, including: Deductions UIF, IRP5s, WCA; Ensure tax and other statutory compliance – i.e., Income Tax, VAT, WCA.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications: Diploma in Accounting or NQF equivalent.

Experience: 10 to 15 years in the use of accounting software and spreadsheets, with 5+ years in a supervisory role.

Experience handling a range of routine financial activities, such as payroll, billing, and support to accounting clerks and administrators.

Experience managing large volumes of routine financial transactions in payroll and handling associated documents.

Experience in the preparation of documents for all SARS submissions and declarations, as well as pension fund documents.

Financial Reporting

Financial reporting to trial balance level.
